The symbol
The challenge was to create a brand that would help to expose positive and inspiring aspects
in postindustrial mentality and environment of the Katowice agglomeration.
The symbol: industrial history and tradition as a mine of culture (bottom part)
composed with colorful vision of development and cultural diversity (top part).
The both parts create a symbol of heart representing emotional character and aspiration to be the cultural
heart of Europe.

The heart of the system
The symbol is the heart of the entire identity system as establishes complex graphic rules, grid, color schemes, etc.
It gives a wide range of solutions for print / web-mobile / environmental -3d objects / visual interpretation. With care of the general strategy and brand management (brand living periods and appropriate solutions) the system allows to build an open visual and semantic structure.
Znak stanowi serce całego systemu identyfikacji określając szeroki zakres zasad graficznych, schematy kolorystyczne i konstrukcyjne z uwzględnieniem specyfiki środowiska (druk, web, przestrzeń publiczna).
